Why can't I find matte finished small parts for my Mk III Hi Power? Because there are none. Only the slide and frame on the Mk III's are matte finished.  The barrel is normally left in the white and the trigger, grip screws, hammer, slide stop, magazine release and ambidextrous thumb safety have a dull blue finish. The matte finish is applied after the sights are fitted to the slide's dovetails which is why they are frequently so difficult to adjust or remove.
